Minimum rule
For 2026 injuries the minimum is $358 a week. If your spendable weekly wage is below $358 (and you gave proof of your wages), you get your spendable weekly wage instead. If you have not given proof of earnings, the insurer must pay at least $110 a week.

How your wages are figured
If you were paid by the hour, day or output, your gross weekly earnings are 1/50 of your total wages from all jobs in whichever of the two calendar years before the injury is more favorable to you. Employer-provided room and board, pension contributions and other benefits may count. Send the insurer your W-2s and pay stubs. Seasonal or temporary workers, minors, apprentices and trainees have special rules.
How long it can last
TTD is paid until you are medically stable or can return to work, whichever comes first. Medical stability is presumed after 45 days with no objectively measurable improvement, unless your doctor says otherwise.
TTD pays 80% of your spendable weekly wage (your gross weekly earnings minus taxes, based on your marital status and number of dependents). For injuries in 2026, the maximum is $1,627 a week (120% of the Alaska average weekly wage of $1,356) and the minimum is $358 a week. The Division's online Benefit Calculator figures the rate from your gross weekly wage, marital status and dependents.
For injuries on or after January 1, 2025, the deadline to report a work injury to the employer was shortened from 30 days to 15 days. For 2026 injuries the maximum weekly rate is $1,627 and the minimum $358 (Bulletin 25-06, Alaska average weekly wage $1,356). Bulletin 26-01 adopted the 2025 edition of the AMA Guides, Sixth Edition, for impairment ratings.
