About Work Comp Map
Work Comp Map is a free, plain-English guide for people in the United States who were hurt or made sick by their job. For each state it explains how long you have to tell your employer and to file a claim, the waiting period, the weekly wage benefit, who picks the doctor, who is covered, what to do if a claim is denied, protection from being fired for filing, and where to get free help. Free tools count your deadline dates, estimate the weekly benefit where the rule allows it, and write a notice to your employer and a claim checklist in your browser.
We are not a law firm, not an insurer, not a medical provider and not a government agency. We do not represent anyone, we do not argue your claim and we never contact your employer, an insurer or a state agency for you. We never tell anyone that they qualify or that a claim will be paid: the insurer, the state agency or a judge decides. We link to official sources: state law, federal rules, state agencies and free legal help.
