Maximum
$5,691.79 a month (July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027)
Minimum rule

Nevada sets no minimum weekly amount for temporary total disability; you receive two-thirds of your own average wage.

Applies to
Injuries in Nevada fiscal year 2027 (July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027); the maximum is set each July 1
How your wages are figured

Your average monthly wage is usually figured from your earnings in the 12 weeks before the injury. If that does not fairly show your earnings, you can ask the insurer in writing to use the 12 months before the injury. If you work more than one job, ask that all your wages be added together. Declared tips count. The wage counted cannot be more than 150% of the state average weekly wage times 4.33.

How long it can last

Temporary total disability stops when a doctor says you can do any gainful work you are suited for, when your employer offers suitable light-duty work, or when other events in NRS 616C.475 happen. It is not paid while you are incarcerated.

Temporary total disability pays 66 2/3% of your average monthly wage (Nevada figures benefits by the month; the weekly figure is the State's own conversion). For injuries from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027 the wage counted is capped at $8,537.68 a month, so the most you can get is $5,691.79 a month, which the State lists as $186.98 a day, $1,308.86 a week, or $2,617.72 for the usual 14-day payment. For injuries from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026, the maximum is $5,468.53 a month.
